Cal Linn Condominium Building — 6320 Linn Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM
A Historic Location for a Historic Moment
The Cal Linn Condominium Building sits at 6320 Linn Ave. NE, just north of Central Avenue — the original Route 66 alignment through Albuquerque. This is where San Pedro's past and future meet.
The building is historic in its own right: it's the site where the Altair 8800 personal computer was developed — the machine that brought a young Bill Gates and Paul Allen to Albuquerque in 1975, leading to the founding of Microsoft on this very corridor. Route 66 was always about economic reinvention. The San Pedro corridor still is.
Address: 6320 Linn Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109
Parking: Free public parking available on-site and in surrounding lots along Linn Ave. NE

Free and open to the public
About the Event
The Route 66 Centennial Caravan is a 20-day national activation organized by Main Street America and the Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership, traveling the entire length of the Mother Road — from Santa Monica, California to Chicago, Illinois — in celebration of Route 66's 100th anniversary.
Albuquerque is a featured stop, and Revitalize San Pedro Partnership is bringing the Caravan to the heart of our corridor: the Cal Linn Building on Linn Ave. NE — steps from Central Avenue, the historic alignment of Route 66 itself.
Join us for a free community evening featuring live entertainment, local food, a classic car showcase, a small business showcase, and one unforgettable broadcast moment: the Big Texan's legendary 72 oz. Steak Challenge, livestreamed to a national audience.
What's Happening
🥩 The Big Texan 72 oz. Steak Challenge The Big Texan Steak Ranch of Amarillo — home of the world-famous 72 oz. steak challenge — is bringing their challenge rig to every stop on the Caravan. Five local competitors will take the stage: one individual challenger and a team of four drawn from community partners and local leaders. The challenge is livestreamed and media-covered, putting Albuquerque in front of a national audience.
🎵 Live Music & Entertainment Local performers set the soundtrack for the evening on a full stage setup in the Cal Linn parking lot.
🚗 Classic Car Show Caravan vehicles and locally-owned classics will be on display throughout the event — a rolling tribute to the road that built the American West.
🛍️ Main Street Business Showcase Local vendors and Albuquerque-area Main Street businesses will have booths on-site. Come shop, meet your neighbors, and see what's growing along the corridor.
🌮 Food Trucks Multiple food trucks will be on-site serving food and drinks throughout the evening.
